The technology-focused logistics company OPLOG, with its domestically produced logistics robot TARQAN, attracted the attention of both domestic and international visitors at the world’s largest aviation, space, and technology festival, TEKNOFEST Ankara.
Developed by Turkish engineers and completed through R&D efforts in 2022, TARQAN, the domestic and national logistics robot introduced to the industry by OPLOG, continues to capture the logistics sector’s attention worldwide. Contributing to the transformation of storage and product collection processes into autonomous operations, TARQAN enhances warehouse efficiency by up to 400%. It reduces human-induced order picking errors typically encountered in traditional warehouses by 99.99%, and accelerates picking speeds by threefold compared to conventional warehouse processes, ensuring products reach consumers complete and on time.
Upon receiving an order, TARQAN makes rapid decisions and swiftly navigates within the warehouse. It proceeds to the nearest shelves where the products are located and, with a lifting capacity of up to 1 ton, transports the shelves to the operational supervisors. Consequently, OPLOG ensures flawless progress in its operations by implementing unmanned solutions in storage areas.

How does OPLOG’s technology make a difference?
Allocating 30% of its revenue to R&D, OPLOG develops its own in-house warehouse software and robotic technologies to enhance operational efficiency. Amid the prominence of artificial intelligence and robotics in today’s world, OPLOG takes a pioneering role in the sector with its domestically developed TARQAN, showcasing its national technology and R&D capabilities. From flexible storage systems implemented in OPLOG’s own fulfillment centers to order fulfillment processes, all operations work at the utmost efficiency thanks to its proprietary technologies. This flexible storage system, known as chaotic storage, is the distinctive feature that sets OPLOG apart from its competitors offering similar services and applications in Turkey. Unlike traditional warehouses, in OPLOG’s fulfillment centers, each product, considering its dimensions and storage conditions, is assigned to different locations along with products from various brands, optimizing cost and time both in its operations and the services offered directly to customers. In this model, where multiple brands’ products are stored on the same shelf, all information such as the nature of the dispatched products, quantities, special storage conditions, and shipping options are added to OPLOG’s developed Warehouse Management System (WMS).

TARQAN: Different from other robots!
TARQAN offers an innovative robotic system designed to enhance operational efficiency in fulfillment warehouses, going beyond the systems created by other robots transporting products from point A to point B in the industry. Thanks to its ability to determine which shelves within the warehouse and where those shelves are positioned, TARQAN increases efficiency in both storage and product picking stages. Despite having a 1-ton lifting capacity, TARQAN stands at only 194 mm in height, offering 10% more storage space compared to its competitors and being the thinnest fulfillment robot in its class. While a warehouse worker alone can pick 120-150 products per hour, when working alongside TARQAN, this number can reach up to 500. This enables OPLOG to increase order picking efficiency by 400% with TARQAN, significantly boosting storage areas’ productivity. TARQAN is fully integrated with OPLOG’s intelligent warehouses, working in harmony with its own software, the Warehouse Management System (WMS), which determines product locations, tracks stock and orders, and the OPLOG-ONE platform that allows customers to monitor these processes.
