The “Bring a Book for You Too” project, which was first initiated by Anadolu Efes Sports Club with the support of Anadolu Foundation in 2014, and has provided support to tens of thousands of children’s education, was completed with the Turkish Telekom match held at Sinan Erdem Sports Hall on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

In the seventh edition of the project held this year, starting with the Monaco match in the 34th week of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and concluding with the Turkish Telekom match, thousands of primary and middle school level books that were brought by the audience to Sinan Erdem Sports Hall, in good condition and without any markings or paintings, will be sent to the earthquake-affected provinces in collaboration with the Anadolu Foundation, following the verification process.

Both teams supported the campaign

Prior to the match, the players and coaching staff of both teams came together and exchanged books to support the campaign. Anadolu Efes gifted “Nutuk” to Turkish players wearing the Turkish Telekom jersey, and “Andrew Mango – Atatürk” book to foreign players. In return, Turkish Telekom donated 200 children’s books and essential works to the campaign.

Support for students in the earthquake-affected region

Following the earthquake disaster that occurred in Kahramanmaraş in February, affecting the surrounding provinces as well, Anadolu Efes took action to heal the wounds. The thousands of books collected through the established tradition of the “Bring a Book for You Too” project will be sent to the disaster area to support the affected students. After the sorting process, the books in good condition, without any markings or paintings, and suitable for primary and middle school students, will be sent to the disaster area to support the education of thousands of children.

Fans who brought books watched the match for free

Fans who supported the project by bringing books to the Monaco match in the EuroLeague also benefited from the right to receive free tickets for the Turkish Telekom match, which was held in the Turkish Insurance Super League.

Since its inception, the “Bring a Book for You Too” project has collected tens of thousands of books, and Anadolu Efes will continue to contribute to the education of students in need in the upcoming seasons.
