The number of executives appointed to high-level positions at Trend Micro, which has signed many successful projects in Turkey and other regions, is increasing, and their responsibilities are expanding even more.

Turkish executives, who have become a preferred group worldwide with their ability to make quick decisions, flexibility, and high performance under pressure, continue to attract the attention of global companies. On the other hand, while many national and international organizations prefer to reduce their workforce and shrink, Trend Micro continues to grow and relies on Turkish executives in this growth. In this regard, Trend Micro, which aims to benefit more from the experience of Turkish executives, recently expanded the scope of various executives working in Turkey and appointed them to high-level positions. After the success achieved following these appointments, Trend Micro expanded the responsibilities of Turkish executives with three more high-level appointments.

Canan Dumanay was appointed as the Director of Financial and Public Sector Business Development for the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa Region, Hasan Gültekin as the Mediterranean Countries Regional Manager, and Yakup Börekcioğlu as the Deputy President responsible for Financial and Public Sector Business in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa Region.

The number of global companies that prefer Turkish executives is increasing day by day.

The rise of Turkish executives continues in the global arena, who are successful in overcoming economic crises and other challenges. The number of Turkish executives working in leading companies worldwide is increasing steadily. Aware of this situation, Trend Micro continues to expand the scope of Turkish executives working in Turkey and other regions, and to appoint them to new positions to benefit from their experiences and expertise. It is expected that the rise of Turkish executives at Trend Micro will continue in the upcoming period.

Canan Dumanay, who graduated from the Marmara University Business School, started her career as an operations manager at KoçSistem in 2011. Joining the Trend Micro family in 2014 as a Sales Manager responsible for existing customers and continuing her duty as Sales Operations Director, Dumanay now serves as the Industry Sales Business Development Director for the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa Region (AMEA).

Hasan Gültekin, a graduate of Istanbul Technical University’s Department of Computer Engineering, has held various managerial positions in domestic and international sales at HP, Oracle Turkey and Switzerland, Intel Turkey, Microsoft Turkey, and Trend Micro. Prior to Trend Micro, Gültekin served as Country Manager at Blue Coat Systems and joined the Trend Micro family as Turkey Country Manager in 2018. Currently, Gültekin serves as the Regional Director for the Mediterranean Countries (Turkey, Greece, Cyprus, and Malta) at Trend Micro.

Yakup Börekcioğlu, who graduated from the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Hacettepe University in 1993, obtained a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence from the Electrical and Electronics Department at the Middle East Technical University. Starting his career in 1993 in the Production Quality and Safety Department at ASELSAN, Börekcioğlu later served as the Director of Information Technologies. In 2005, he joined the Sun Microsystems family as the Business Development Manager responsible for Turkey and Turkic Republics and later assumed the role of Sectoral Sales Manager. In 2010, he joined the restructured Vmware team as the Sales Manager for Turkey and led his team to increase the company’s market share in Turkey and establish the cloud infrastructure for corporate and service providers.

In November 2012, Börekcioğlu started his role as General Manager of Trend Micro Mediterranean Countries and was promoted to the position of Regional President for Mediterranean Countries, Israel, and Qatar in Dubai in 2018. As of July 2020, Börekcioğlu’s responsibilities were expanded to include the Russian Federation and Turkic Republics. Currently, as the Regional President of Trend Micro Mediterranean Countries, Israel, Russia Federation, and Turkic Republics, he serves as the Deputy President responsible for Financial and Public Sector Sales in the Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa Region (AMEA).
