Canik Municipal Council’s 2022 Fiscal Year Activity Report was unanimously approved.

The 1st session of the 1st session of the April 2023 term of the Canik Municipal Council was held under the chairmanship of the Canik Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı. The 2022 Fiscal Year Activity Report presented to the municipal council by Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı was unanimously accepted by the council members at the meeting where the agenda items were discussed and resolved and the election of the specialized commissions took place. President İbrahim Sandıkçı, who gave separate information about the investments, ongoing projects and financial dimensions in the presentation he made to the council members, said, “Our only concern is to serve Canik in the best way and to gain new investments.”

“We brought projects that changed the face of Canik”

In his presentation to the Canik Municipal Council Members, Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı said that “2022 has been a full year for our district, where the service and work continues at the usual pace as always,” and that the work continues within the planned program. Stating that they continue to bring new investments and projects to the district, President İbrahim Sandıkçı said, “We continue to work with great devotion for our district day and night. We brought in projects that changed Canik’s face, and we continue to do so. We carry out these works by consulting with our citizens and always keeping their demands in mind. We continue to contribute to the development of our district, which we have turned into a center of attraction with new generation education areas, modern and comfortable roads, social reinforcement areas and urban transformation works. Our only concern is to serve Canik in the best way and to gain new investments. Canik, I would like to thank you, our esteemed council members, with whom we work together on the road of service in every field, and who have left many beautiful traces in this district with their work, and all my teammates who did not leave the field for a moment.”

“We did not use any credit”

Emphasizing that credit is not used in the projects and works carried out in the district, Mayor İbrahim Sandıkçı said, “We have always kept the budget of our municipality in balance. We have never wasted our nation’s money by doing something just to pretend or do something. We have done well-planned and high-quality work for the future. While doing these studies, we did not take loans from banks. We did not use any credit. With the right planning, we used our own resources to serve our citizens,” he said.

“We are the first and only district municipality to have a Discovery Campus in Turkey”

Underlining that the Canik Özdemir Bayraktar Discovery Campus was built in a short period of 3 and a half months and brought to the district, President İbrahim Sandıkçı said, “We put our Canik Özdemir Bayraktar Discovery Campus into the service of our youth and children. They will receive hands-on training in science and technology here. We have worked tirelessly to bring our campus together with our youth and children, who are the architects of our future. In a short period of 3 and a half months, we brought it to our county. We are proud. We are the first and only district municipality in Turkey to have the Discovery Campus, a fully equipped children’s university with workshops, laboratories and application areas. We continue to be a pioneer in this regard with the sensitivity we show in education.”

Full Support from Canik to Local and National TOGG

The 2022 Fiscal Year Activity Report submitted to the Canik Municipality Council by the Mayor of Canik, İbrahim Sandıkçı, was unanimously accepted by the members of the municipal council. Following the voting of the annual report, the agenda items were moved to be discussed. Canik Municipality, which always supports the development and use of domestic and national technologies, decided to buy the domestic automobile TOGG, which was developed and produced in the country, in the municipal council and to join the municipal vehicle fleet. In order to provide a more effective and efficient service to the citizens, which is among the agenda items, the decision to purchase the domestic and national automobile, TOGG, was unanimously made by the members of the assembly. The meeting came to an end after the agenda items were discussed and resolved and the members of the specialized commissions and council members were selected by voting.
