2 new directors have been appointed at Takeda Turkey.

In the new term, Burçin Gümüş will be the Director of Immunology and Gastroenterology Business Unit, and Levent Öztekin will be the Director of Oncology and Hematology Business Unit.

Burçin Gümüş, who joined the Takeda Turkey team in 2017 and has been the Patient Services Project Director for the past year, is the Director of the Immunology and Gastroenterology Business Unit; Levent Öztekin, who gained experience in different positions with his 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, was appointed as the Oncology and Hematology Business Unit Director.

After graduating from the Department of Management Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, Levent Öztekin, who worked in the retail industry for a short time, started his career in the pharmaceutical industry in 2002 as an Oncology Product Specialist at Sanofi. In 2006, Öztekin transferred to the Business Operations team as a Marketing Excellence Specialist in the same institution. After working in this department for 1.5 years, he continued his duty as Brand Manager in the field of marketing. Levent Öztekin, who was appointed as the Marketing Manager of the newly established Oncology and Hospital Products Business Unit in January 2012, with the experience he gained in this position and the successful work he carried out; In 2014, he was appointed as Sales and Marketing Manager in the same unit. Managing a team of 46 people in this unit, Öztekin implemented projects focused on innovative product launches, biosimilar product management and tender management during his tenure. Levent Öztekin, who has been working as the Director of the Immunology Business Unit at Sanofi Genzyme since 2020; As of 2023, he became the Director of Takeda Türkiye Oncology & Hematology Business Unit.

Burcin Gumus; After graduating from the Baskent University Biomedical Engineering Department in 2009, he completed his master’s degree in the same field at the Middle East Technical University in 2013. Gümüş started his career in 2010 as Eczacıbaşı-Baxter Technical Service and Quality Specialist; Between 2013 and 2017, he worked as Assistant Product Manager and Product Manager in the fields of dialysis, medical devices and nephrology at Eczacıbaşı-Baxter and Abdi İbrahim, respectively. Joining the Takeda Turkey team as Senior Product Manager for Rare Genetic Diseases in April 2017, Gümüş carried out product launches in the field of rare genetic diseases, successful campaigns on disease awareness and product differentiation covering multiple specialties, and exemplary good practices within the company. Burcin Gumus; He also led the digital transformation processes, which included the launch of the Omnichannel program, which blended 8 different digital promotion channels, which took place for the first time in Turkey and the ICMEA region to which Turkey is affiliated, and its adaptation to other ICMEA countries. In addition, in 2020 and 2021, he contributed to the development of global strategy in this field by taking on the additional duties of Rare Genetic Diseases Brand Responsibility in the ICMEA region and a specific digital project leadership in the GEM region.
