Banvit Brf, one of the leading white meat manufacturers in Turkey, gained 43 %of the water it purified in 2022 thanks to the “Waste Water Recovery Facility” on the main campus of Bandırma.

Banvit Brf, one of the leading companies in the sector, underlined that only 1 %of the water reserves owned by our world, which is 70 %of which is covered with waters, is freshwater source and usable state and drew attention to the importance of natural resources and savings. In line with the “2040 Net Zero” target of its global company BRF, it focuses on sustainability in its activities and continues its applications for saving in water use.

To reduce Banvit Brf’s footprint in nature; From water and energy saving to recycled packages, from applications for animal welfare to waste management and training activities, there are various applications in different fields. Thanks to the “Waste Water Recovery Facility ünde on the main campus of Bandırma, the company reclaims 43 %of its purified water in drinking water quality. Thus, instead of using natural resources, waste water recovery and maintains underground water resources. Banvit BRF aims to reduce the use of water in all its facilities by 2025.

Banvit Brf CEO Tolga Gündüz stated that they attach great importance to water savings and invest in this field; “As a country, we are now in a process where we are faced with the danger of drought. 80 countries, which host 40 %of the world’s population, are already suffering from water shortages. With the awareness that Turkey has limited resources in water, Banvit BRF reinstates the water used in production facilities with its sustainability studies and re -use in drinking water quality and prevents water waste.
