Antalya Metropolitan Municipality, which has carried out important works in Nurdağı and İslahiye districts of Gaziantep, one of the provinces affected by the earthquake, does not neglect animal health.

Metropolitan veterinarians, who intervene in injured and sick animals, support the preventive medicine program.

Continuing its work in every field in Gaziantep, which was affected by the earthquake as the coordinating municipality, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality is also closely interested in animal health. Veterinarians and technicians working in the Animal Health Branch Directorate of the Agricultural Services Department travel the streets and treat injured and sick stray animals.

RESPONSE TO WOUNDED AND SICK ANIMALS

The teams that perform the first response in the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Stray Animal Emergency Response Vehicle transport the injured and sick animals to the animal treatment and care center tent established in Gaziantep in cases that require surgery or different interventions. Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Veterinarian Semih Ercan said that they intervened in cases such as infection and injury, and that they also checked the small ruminants upon notifications.

SUPPORT FOR VACCINATION STUDIES

Antalya Metropolitan Municipality teams will also support the preventive medicine program that will start in the coming days within the scope of preventive veterinary services. Metropolitan teams will go down to the field and take an active role in vaccination studies of small and bovine animals.
