Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Dragon Boat Team will represent our country in the Sharjah IDBF MENA Club Crew Championship tournament to be held in the United Arab Emirates with the main sponsorship of Uzmar Denizcilik and the support of the Turkish Canoe Federation.

Over 2000 athletes from all over the world participate in the Dragon Boat Races, one of the most prestigious races in the world, which will take place in the Emirate of Sharjah on 17-19 March 2023.

Zafer Benli, coach of the Uzmar Dragon Boat Team, one of the two teams specially invited by the Emirate of Sharjah, underlined that this is the first time a dragon boat team from Turkey has participated in such a big tournament. He said that they will fight with great determination to add a new one to their success in international and national competitions for years.

The team will compete with the black tape in order to raise awareness in the international sports community in these difficult days that our country is going through due to the earthquake.
