The Bakery Plus Trade Fair for Bread, Pastry Machines, Ice Cream, Chocolate, and Technologies was held at the ATO Congresium Congress and Exhibition Center. The fair led over 20,000 visitors, mostly businesses from the bakery and pastry industry, in their investment processes.
Organized by Messe Stuttgart Ares Fairs, the fair took place in a 10,000 square meter area. Bendevi PALANDÖKEN, the President of the Confederation of Turkish Tradesmen and Artisans, Gürsel BARAN, the President of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, and Halil İbrahim BALCI, the President of the Turkish Bakers Federation, accompanied the opening ceremony.
Bakery Plus provided significant opportunities for 94 participating companies and over 200 brands to reach potential markets and buyers. Different food equipment with the latest technology received intense interest at the fair. Participants explored various stages from flour factories to bread production in the metaverse world using a VR-supported food simulator developed by a flour company from Gaziantep.
One of the most popular equipment at the fair was the automatic dough kneading and cutting machines, which simplified pastry recipes and made them practical. Another equipment that drew visitors’ attention was the automatic mantı (Turkish dumplings) cutting machine, which allowed easy opening and cutting of the dough. The dough machine that produced 50 kilograms of baklava dough per hour and opened the baklava dough to 0.03 mm thickness stood out as a pioneering equipment. The stages of making croissants, a taste that came from France to this day, were also another point of interest at the fair.
Chef Muammer Şimşek, the Master Instructor of the ISMEK Bakery and Pastry School, became the highlight of the fair with the bread varieties he baked in the latest technology ovens. Chocolate expert and instructor Bilge İyigün mesmerized all visitors with handmade chocolates with various flavors. The fair also exhibited state-of-the-art industrial ovens and cooling machines for heating and cooling. Besides the companies that offered various presentations and treats to ice cream lovers, coffee machines, blenders, and other kitchen equipment that could be used in cafes, pastry shops, and restaurants were among the popular products at the fair.
The Bakery Plus fair was an important event to follow industry innovations and create investment opportunities for business owners. The state-of-the-art products exhibited at the fair will play an important role in increasing the efficiency and product quality of businesses in the sector. Furthermore, the fair provided a platform for sharing current information and experiences in the industry.
